An Old Hall Ladymass

Grammy nominated vocal ensemble Trio Mediæval explore the historically significant 15th century Old Hall Manuscript.

Trio Mediæval explore the Old Hall Manuscript, the largest surviving collection of medieval motets and mass movements. The 15th century choir book was lost for nearly 400 years but survived the Reformation. The Old Hall Manuscript is the most important source for understanding early musical harmony in England, and is one of the oldest surviving collections of English part music containing 148 compositions compiled between 1415 and 1421.

Celebrated early music ensemble Trio Mediæval consists of Linn Andrea Fuglseth, Anna Maria Friman and Jorunn Lovise Husan. Having recorded eight albums with ECM Records, Trio Mediæval release their second album An Old Hall Ladymass with celebrated Norwegian label 2L produced by Morten Lindberg and John Potter.
