Dai Fujikura & Michiyo Yagi: Bibi

Dai Fujikura and Michiyo Yagi combine ancient Koto technique with futuristic electronic sounds.

Award-winning Japanese composer Dai Fujikura is joined by koto player Michiyo Yagi on this interesting album. With works composed by both artists, this album features an intriguing combination of Yagi on Koto and Fujikura on synthesizer.

Yagi studied the traditional Japanese transverse harp known as the koto under the late Tadao Sawai and Kazue Sawai, later premiering numerous modern compositions for koto for American composers such as John Cage.
