Ten Past Never

The latest album from jazz quartet Zirobop, led by Italian drummer Enzo Zirilli.

Ten Past Never is the third album of celebrated drummer/percussionist Enzo Zirilli with his own band ZiroBop, formed in 2013 with guitarists Rob Luft and Alessandro Chiappetta, and bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado.

Enzo Zirilli describes how the music on this album “mirrors my idea and our collective idea of playing music at 360 degrees, getting deep inside all the jazz languages, from the very early days through the modal and post avant-garde mood, mixed with influences from Indian, South American and eastern world music.”

Ten Past Never includes new compositions by the quartet, as well as Keith Jarrett, Charles Mingus, Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk.

We feature Misha Mullov-Abbado’s composition No More Booze in our playlist Inversion.
